At the time of production, this was the only video of a live performance by Michael Jackson available on YouTube, because of the very thorough copyright maintenance by the Jackson estate. This, and the fact that the performance is still regarded as Jackson’s best live performance ever, turned the video’s comment section into a place to discuss the merit of Jackson and his performances. The allegations of abuse and drug use made against him are also a topic, as well as repeated questions about the software used to remaster the video, due to its surprisingly good quality, whereupon the uploader adds a technical explanation.

On Lulu, the authorship of this book is attributed to Rafael Ahmed, the name of the account which uploaded the video, and not the person who actually made the book. Produced in the context of Danny Snelson’s experimental writing class “Print on Demand Poetry: Making Books After the Internet” at Northwestern University in 2015, the book is a response to the task: “Find something interesting on the internet, don’t do anything to it, put it into a book and see what happens.”
