Talk with Lilian Landes, Bavarian State Library, and Sabine Brantl, Haus der Kunst Munich, about the artistic potentials of print-on-demand, which is basically nothing other than the matrix print of the third millennium. Afterwards, the “Library of Artistic Print on Demand” will be officially passed as a gift to the Bavarian State Library. With “The Ugly Duckling of Publishing? Books on Demand”, the German Museum of Books and Writing is presenting the first-ever selection of artistic and experimental print-on-demand projects. This temporary exhibition is based on holding the Library of Artistic Print on Demand, through which Andreas Bülhoff and Annette Gilbert have been exploring this phenomenon and its various artistic subcultures.
